Well ahead of the 2019 MLB season, the Cleveland Indians recently revealed its new Chief Wahoo-less uniforms following a promise to stop using the mascot last January. The baseball team is now releasing its long-term plan to phase out the character in a move to align with the league’s “commitment to building a culture of diversity and inclusion throughout the game.”
Playing on the team’s long history in baseball, next season the Cleveland Indians’ uniforms will reference the look of the team’s ’40s era jerseys decorated by a classic “Block-C” logo.
