Albert Pujols, Welcome to the 3K Hit Club

Albert Pujols became the 32nd member of Major League Baseball’s 3,000-hit club Friday night when he connected on a fifth-inning single against the Mariners’ Mike Leake at Safeco Field in Seattle.

The 18-year veteran also joined a more prestigious group: players with 3,000 hits and 600 or more home runs (Pujols has 620). Only three other players are members — Hank Aaron, Willie Mays and Alex Rodriguez.

Congratulations Albert, you are truly “The Machine”.
